ShiftPoint is basically a Training Center that is centralized in Arizona. We service Mesa, Fountain Hills, Chandler, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Glendale, Paradise Valley, Apache Junction, Rio Verde, Fountain Hills, Tempe, and Cave Creek.
Within both of these training courses, our students have the opportunity to join our Manual Driving fundamentals workshop.
This is why ShiftPoint stands out from other driving schools! We take teaching to a whole new level with our Manual driving fundamentals workshop, where real-world experience and hands-on experience do more teaching than a lecture or video ever could! Enrolled students are able to get a fifty percent off the Essentials Workshop, where students come to learn basic mechanics, maintenance, and roadside safety. No tests, once a month, and lots of fun!
The reason why we decided to start our Manual driving fundamentals workshop is that we wanted to create the opportunity for our students to understand what the car is actually doing and why it is doing that thing. For example, a manual transmission is much different than an automatic transmission mechanically. The understanding of the different components that make up a manual transmission helps the student to better understand what they are driving and the why behind doing certain things to prevent damage to their car. We also like to cover the basic mechanics of the car so that our students understand how a car actually runs. What the components are, what their jobs are, and how they all work together to make the car run efficiently. That leads into our maintenance workshop, where our students learn how to take care of these components because if they are neglected, it will shorten the life span of your vehicle. Lastly, our roadside safety portion will give insight into what to do when an emergency happens. How to change a tire, what to do if you run out of gas, and how to check your battery and oil. And the worst case scenario, what to do if you get pulled over, what documents do you need to have, and what behavior should one have when talking to an officer. What do you do if you get into a minor accident, who to call, what to say, what to do?
All of these items listed above are essential to being a well-informed driver on the road, and things that you may never need, but when the time comes, you'll be glad you have the knowledge and resources to deal with it.
